Witnessing a Grus V-Formation
On Friday, RTBF reported on the migration of the Common Crane. We can confirm.
At least one V-formation of about 20 Cranes flew over around 04.00 in the morning. I managed to record it (1 minute), you can hear them here, alongside a Robin:
It might not sound like much, but overall birds have far better hearing than humans. We hear only a very small part of their conversation.
In 2019, I recorded Cranes flying overhead in the centre of the City of Berlin. The recording is less than a minute.
